Thorp and Sync, Synthetic offer up 3 remixes for the San Francisco
groove-oriented, instrumental ensemble Transmission.
Sync, Synthetic's addictive broken break-beat excursion of "Remit_23" blends
danceable rhythms with fluid abstraction, energy and propulsion. Sync, Synthetic's approach
is quite varied as well; "Xmit_13" offers a more traditional direction
into laid-back jazzy instrumental hip-hop rolling over a thick, rumbling bassline.
On the flip side, Noah Thorp delivers tweaked-out experimental breaks with his "Transient
Bliss Lion Mass" remix. In a matter of minutes this track gets the feet moving
while a conglomeration of abstract electro-techno-jazz melts, twists and filters
its way deep into the subconscious brain.
Listen Labs are definitely a label to look out for; Producing the next wave of
