Listen Labs of San Francisco is an independent media think-tank, record label, and production company. Listen Labs was founded in 1998 by Noah Thorp to catalyze collaborations between innovative musicians across multiple genres. As Noah wrote at the time:

"Electronic, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop, Pop, Afrobeat, and Folkloric musics are all viable molecular level variables for our recombinant constructions... Our mission is to merge analogue and electronic approaches to music making and demolish the limitations of genre-centric thinking."

This vision has fueled many collaborations including: The Pluralities Festival, The Crystal Palace Ball (Burning Man theme camp fundraiser), Found Underground, The Transmission Remixes 12", Lunar Strategies CD, J Mage Crazy Heart 12", Digging in The Dark with the Capacitor performance troupe, an EEG derived piano score, and many more.
